Archie Ray

Archie Ray is a singer/songwriter from Cornwall. In his time here he has built up a repertoire of material, released an EP and two singles as well as performing his music all over the county in small venues to big festival stages such as Rock Oyster Festival, Rattler Fest (Main Stage), Tunes in The Dunes and Little Orchard (BBC Introducing). He has gained radio play from small local stations, had an interview on BBC Cornwall and his single "The Moth and The Butterfly" gained a sync placement in a feature film "The Drowning of Arthur Braxton" alongside Declan McKenna on the soundtrack.

Archie since decided to move to Bournemouth late 2022 to pursue music further, performing to more audiences up-country, writing new music and acquiring a full band composed mostly of jazz musicians. The band took to stages quickly, playing ticketed shows in the Bournemouth area and then moving on to festival slots such as Teddy Rocks, Upton House and Anonymous Festival.

Archie performs what he calls "mixed-pop" a variety of genres and tones that commit to classic pop structure and performance. From big band rock-pop ballads, catchy rhythm based rap tunes or emotional soundscapes, Archie Ray covers all ground in a live performance. Archie has songs that aim to get the audience involved, whether that be simple repeated melodies or call and response to raise the energy in a live setting. Through his honesty in music, Archie dedicates himself to creating good memories for audiences to take home with them.

End of the Line - Single

End of the Line

End Of The Line is a song that showcases the journey from the small town streets “To the next big city” the drive and perseverance to do so and wanting to take friends, family and the audience to a positive future. While the message is aiming for success and the path to getting there, the song also drives themes of home and getting older and the vulnerability of that “I don’t see what you see in me” “So I will go, do as i’m told”.
